Digitization is no doubt one of the great overarching challenges of our time. Raising technical, societal and ethical questions, it affects academic disciplines far beyond computer science: For instance, digitization has legal and economic implications, has enabled the emergence of the new academic field of digital humanities, and currently revolutionizes research data in the natural and life sciences. During the event, Ukrainian and German scientists will deliver their latest insights on such diverse facets of current digitization processes and their effects on science and society.
The Alumni Network Ukraine-Germany, supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funds from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), was initiated by a consortium of 21 Ukrainian and German institutions from academia, politics, society and economy. By establishing a thriving exchange of experience and knowledge, it aims at facilitating scientific, research and professional cooperation and supporting societal and economic development.
