#TwinForHope campaign: UK-Ukraine university twinning

The #TwinForHope campaign showcases how twinning partnerships between UK and Ukrainian universities are making a positive difference during this humanitarian crisis.

Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, The Universities UK (UUK) supported Cormack Consultancy Group in establishing the UK-Ukraine Twinning Scheme. UK universities are partnering with Ukrainian universities to provide urgent, targeted support now, and beyond the war. The UK Government has announced funding for the scheme.

The #TwinForHope campaign showcases how twinning partnerships between UK and Ukrainian universities are making a positive difference during this humanitarian crisis, from rebuilding campuses and sharing academic resources to welcoming Ukrainian staff and students to the UK to allow teaching and learning to continue.

Partnerships are for the long term, ensuring that Ukraine’s universities not only survive but emerge stronger from the war, and allowing them to play a critical role in post-war reconstruction.

The #TwinForHope campaign was launched at the UUK conference, which took place at the University of Leicester on September 7-8, 2022.
