The Helmholtz Fund has announced a call for applications for the Helmholtz Prize 2024. The prize can be awarded for extraordinary research achievements in a specific field and consists of €20,000 and a certificate.
In 2024, the Helmholtz Prize will be awarded for exceptional accomplishments in the area of precision measurement in two categories:
- Precision measurements in fundamental research in the fields of physics, chemistry and medicine
- Precision measurements in applied metrology in the fields of physics, chemistry and medicine
The application for the prize consists of the following documents: manuscript of the paper, curriculum vitae(s) of the applicant(s), and list of publications of all applicants. The submitted papers should document recent projects that were carried out in Europe or in collaboration with German scientists. Both published and unpublished papers are acceptable, and must be written following the rules for scientific articles. Manuscripts can be written in either German or English, but the English version must include a German title and abstract.
