Franziska Davies is a new Ukraine in European Dialogue Fellow

During her Fellowship, Franziska Davies will work at the Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen/ Institute for Human Sciences (IWM, Vienna) on the project Beyond Empire: Poland, Ukraine, and the End of Moscow’s Hegemony in Central Eastern Europe, 1980-1991.

Franziska Davies is an assistant professor of Eastern European History at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She specializes in the modern history of Ukraine, Russia, and Poland. Her most recent publications include a collection of essays, Ukraine in Europe: Traum and Trauma of a Nation, published in 2023.
