Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), is the European Union’s reference program for doctoral education and postdoctoral training. Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF) is a mobility scheme that targets researchers holding a PhD who wish to carry out their research activities abroad, acquire new skills, and develop their careers. PFs help researchers gain experience in other countries, disciplines, and non-academic sectors.
Postdoctoral Fellowships are subdivided into two types:
- European Postdoctoral Fellowships are available for researchers of any nationality moving within Europe or coming to Europe. These fellowships take place in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country and can last between 1 and 2 years.
- Global Postdoctoral Fellowships fund the mobility of researchers outside Europe. The fellowship duration is 2 – 3 years, while the first 1- 2 years are to be spent in a non-associated Third Country, followed by a mandatory return phase of 1 year to an organisation based in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country. This type of fellowship is open only to nationals or long-term residents of the EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries.
The next call for the postdoctoral fellowships opens on 10 April 2024 with the deadline for submitting proposals on 11 September 2024.
An Expert info session webinar on the MSCA fellowships will be conducted 14/03/2024 at 12:00 ET. Registration for the event is available under the link.
