A team of oncology practitioners in US and Australia organized Help Ukraine Group (HUG) with the aim of connecting with cancer care providers in Ukraine and establishing a feedback loop, identifying the most pressing needs and finding direct practical solutions. They support Ukraine by helping the Ukrainian oncology doctors to win over two evils: the cancer and the war.
Help Ukraine Group (HUG) already secured 27 training positions in the USA and Australia. In January 2024 Stanford University medical oncology department welcomed two Ukrainian medical oncologists for a month-long observership, supported by Stanford Global Scholars grant.
