Science at Risk is an online platform and community of Ukrainian scientists who have been suffering from russia’s military aggression.
The primary objective is to raise awareness about the experiences of Ukrainian scientists and institutions in navigating the challenges posed by war, while also highlighting their unique expertise in crisis management. Additionally, the platform facilitates connections between donors, journalists, foreign scientists, and other interested parties with Ukrainian specialists.
15% of the Ukrainian scientific infrastructure has been damaged as a result of Russia’s full-scale invasion. According to the UA Science Reload survey, 88.2% of scientists have chosen to remain in Ukraine. However, 72.9% of these scientists have reported that they are unable to continue their research at the same level as before the invasion.
