Ukrainian scientists, teachers and students are invited to use and collaborate on portals for digital teaching and learning resources. TIB (Leibniz University Hannover) offers digital educational resources and audiovisual materials (not only) in English language from a variety of subjects such as computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, chemistry, architecture and much more.
To supports Ukrainian universities in maintaining, implementing, and offering their virtual courses, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) initiated the “Ukraine digital” programme. Within this programme, Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) represented by the team of the Leibniz Joint Lab Data Science & Open Knowledge, L3S and International Office in cooperation with the TIB – Leibniz Information Center for Science and Technology, University Library, realise the project “Open Education Resources with Ukraine: Informatics”. This project aims to support the Ukrainian partner universities of LUH in Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv and Lviv to maintain their virtual study courses. For this purpose, teaching and learning videos from various fields of computer science are produced and published under Creative Commons (CC-BY) licences on the TIB AV-Portal and integrated into the ongoing teaching activities of the partner universities. The videos are translated, subtitled and prepared as Open Educational Resources. Within the project, the representatives of Ukrainian partner universities will come to LUH in the first week of July 2023.
To get an insight into the project, exchange ideas and network, the project presentation will be held in English on Wednesday, 5. July from 10:00 – 12:00 CEST in hybrid form. Please register by the 3rd July 2023 to attend online or on campus.
