German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) project “Future Ukraine” offers 10 MA and 5 PhD scholarships in humanities, cultural studies and social sciences for displaced Ukrainians in Germany. The application deadline is March 31.
Candidates for scholarships should meet the following criteria:
- Ukrainian citizens who had their primary residence in Ukraine until February 24, 2022, and who have been in Germany as exchange students since the winter semester of 2021/22 and were unable to return due to the war and are now pursuing a degree in Germany.
- Third-country nationals or stateless people with international protection in Ukraine and their family members if they were in Ukraine before or on February 24, 2022.
- Third-country nationals who had a permanent residence permit in Ukraine before or on February 24, 2022, and who cannot safely return to their country of origin.
The fundamental goal of this program is to train future experts who will play an active role in reconstructing Ukraine and strengthening the German-Ukrainian partnership.
