Summary of the lecture:
The lecture brings the listeners to Ukraine, where sometimes earnest and sometimes also curious realities can all but be taken with a pinch of salt, with humor rather than criticism. This is what the author tries to do with her book “Ukraine from A to Z” (witty and spicy), which was written on the occasion of the European Football Championship 2012 in Poland and Ukraine, aiming in particular at tourists from Germany. The author will discuss how much has changed since then, in the very short time. The book offers the German-speaking reader to dive into the world of cultural concepts of Ukrainians in an easy and informal way.
