A new research institute – The Centre for East European and International Studies (ZOIS) – is being established in Berlin (Germany) and is scheduled to begin its work during the second half of 2016. The centre will study contemporary political, economic, cultural and social processes in Russia, the Eastern Partnership countries and Central Asia, make its findings available to a wider public and provide policy advice supported by academic research. It will undertake collaborative research in economics and the social sciences and also cultural and legal studies within the scope of a multidisciplinary regional approach. The Centre is now seeking to appoint five research fellows from 1 September 2016 on a two-year contract.
