The ČVUT Starting Grant 2027 offers excellent early-career researchers (up to 8 years after their PhD) with strong international experience the opportunity to pursue their own research agenda and build an independent research group at the Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague.

The program offers:
- up to CZK 12 million (€490K) over three years (up to CZK 4 million per year)
- a pathway to a tenure-track position
- family-friendly conditions, including career-break allowances, flexible working arrangements and eligible childcare costs
- support for ERC and other major international grant applications
- a relocation package of up to CZK 250,000 for principal investigators moving from abroad
Applications are welcome from researchers based abroad, at other institutions in Czechia, and those already working at CTU. No host commitment is required at the time of application.
