Responsible AI for Ukraine: fully remote academic research program of the NYU in partnership with UCU, students and mentors are welcome!

The ongoing war in Ukraine continues to disrupt lives and displace thousands of students, putting their education on hold. To keep their academic journey moving forward, the Center for Responsible AI at NYU launched RAIforUkraine (LinkedIn)/ RAIforUkraine (web)—𝐚 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞 academic research program in partnership with Ukrainian Catholic University.

Since 2022, the program has:

  • Supported 70+ 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 from 12 𝐔𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
  • Engaged 48 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 from 24 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 across the U.S. and Europe
  • Offered 40+ 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 that resulted 17 𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐫-𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 in top computer science and data science venues

Research areas include 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐲, 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐈, 𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and more.
