Kyiv School of Economics leads a major international project funded by the EU Horizon Europe Programme

The EU-funded BRIDGE project aims to enhance the Kyiv School of Economics’ innovation capacity, focusing on research-to-policy transfer and citizen participation in rebuilding housing and infrastructure destroyed by the russian war. The project addresses gaps in public administration by exploring the integration of representative and participatory democracy during crises, specifically through the DREAM digital recovery system and its participatory module, eDem.

As part of this initiative, KSE partners with leading European Universities – Berlin University of Technology (Germany), Erasmus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands), and the University of Tartu (Estonia) – as well as the Center for Innovations Development (CID) in Ukraine. Together, they will leverage their expertise and best practices to develop and research digital democracy innovations, strengthening the impact of KSE’s research on policy-making and effective decision-making in the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine.

The principal investigator of the project is Dr. Oleksandra Keudel, one of the leading governance researchers in Ukraine and an Associate Professor at KSE, and a DUAG member.
