As a pilot fellowship scheme funded by the European Union, the SAFE project offers 60 fully-funded fellowships (up to 24 months) for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers of any non-EU nationality to work at a research institution in the EU.
Only host institutions based in the EU can apply on behalf of researchers at risk. A host institution can send one application only.
The SAFE fellowships will be awarded following 2 tracks:
- At-risk researchers currently outside the EU
- At-risk researchers already within the EU
The Call for Applications will be published on 18 November 2024.
The online application platform will be open from 18 November 2024 to 20 January 2025 at 23:59 (CEST).
SAFE online launch event and information session on the call for applications and the matchmaking service will be carried out on the 19th November 2024 at 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (CET). Register here.
