Anna Grebinyk, the Treasurer of the German-Ukrainian Academic Society, was recently selected to become a Zia fellow. The German nationwide newspaper DIE ZEIT profiled the fellows, including Anna, in its recent issue.
Anna, currently based at DESY in Zeuthen, stated: “I am a biologist working at a particle accelerator to improve cancer treatment with near-light-speed electrons. As a hobby painter, I also see in this work a light of hope for science that extends the boundaries.”
Run by the ZEIT Verlagsgruppe (Publishing Group), the Zia – Visible Women in Science & Humanities programme offers young women researchers a one-year fellowship to boost their careers and develop personally.
