Friedrich Schiller University Jena is part of the German-Ukrainian University Network, which is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The aim of the initiative is to support Ukrainian universities in their reconstruction efforts and to enable the Ukrainian higher education sector to integrate into the European Higher Education Area. A project module (M1) brings together existing cooperation with three Ukrainian partner universities (Kyiv National University of Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA) in Kyiv, Ivan Franko National University (IFNU) in Lviv, Ukrainian Catholic University (UKU) in Lviv) and is intended to culminate in an interdisciplinary ‘European Studies’ programme with physical and virtual teaching modules. The main topics are political systems and their economic functioning, cultural practices and European languages. A second module (M2) addresses the internationalisation of university administration.
The International Office has a vacancy for a project coordinator for the DAAD-funded project ‘European Studies4 Ukraine’ on a part-time basis (80% / 32 hours per week) starting on 1 March 2026 and ending on 30 June 2029.
