GERMANY: Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s Georg Forster Research Fellowship for researchers from developing countries, no deadline

Alexander von Humboldt Foundation offers support for individual researchers for research stays in Germany for proposals relevant for the continued development of the country or region of origin.

  • Duration: 6 – 24 months
    • The fellowship can be divided up into 3 partial stays lasting at least 3 months each. The research fellowship must be used within 36 months of commencement and within 48 months if it is extended.

After successfully completing the initial stay sponsored by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany, it is possible for Humboldt and Georg Forster Research Fellows to apply for a return fellowship to sponsor reintegration into an institute abroad, including in Ukraine.
