BAYHOST (The Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe) will soon open programs supporting student and scientist exchange with Eastern Europe for 2020 in the respective calls:
- Incoming, deadline: December 1, 2019 for the academic year 2020/21: Annual scholarship program of the Free State of Bavaria for Postgraduate Study for students from Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Hungary. The scholarship is used to finance postgraduate studies (such as a master’s degree), a research stay or a doctorate at a state or state-funded university or college in Bavaria. Funding amount 735 € / month, two extensions to max. three years possible.
- Outgoing: Mobility grants for internships of students of Bavarian universities and colleges in Eastern Europe. The call will be launched in early 2020.
- Incoming: Fellowships of the Free State of Bavaria for German language summer courses at Bavarian universities for students and junior researchers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia (FYROM), Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine. The knowledge of German should be at least at B1 level. The call will be opened in early 2020. The scholarships include course fees, accommodation, pocket money or meals at a Bavarian university.
