The network, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), was initiated by a consortium of 21 Ukrainian and German institutions from academia, politics, society and economy and is coordinated by Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU). The German-Ukrainian Academic Society actively supports this project.

The forthcoming alumni conference in Kyiv aims at establishing a thriving exchange of experience and knowledge in order to facilitate scientific, research and professional cooperation and supporting societal and economic development. Participation is free of charge. Application for free-of-charge accommodation is possible. Register by 21 May 2018.
