The Free State of Bavaria sponsors 1-year scholarships for the academic year 2018/19 for graduates from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine. The scholarships are meant to finance postgraduate studies (i.e. master’s programs), PhDs or 1-year research sojourns at Bavarian universities. The scholarship can be extended twice for up to 3 years in total. The objective of this annual scholarship programme is to support scientific cooperation and academic exchange between Bavaria and Central-, Eastern- and Southeastern Europe.
